Giant Tower Games
Garden Games are rightly famous for their Giant Tower Games. The very first product produced by Garden Games Limited way back in 1998 was the now famous, often copied,but never bettered, Hi-Tower. Hi-Tower is has since become the model for all other Giant Tower Games.
When first produced, people could not understand why there were gaps between the blocks, or why there were 58 blocks rather than the 60 that appear in the smaller table top game. Our Giant version though was different from the table top family favorite which meant that on the scale we felt the game needed to be to make this giant a simple copy would simply not play well, so Stuart Cardy, the man behind the very first game, came up with some superb design solutions.
We will not tell you why the games have gaps and 58 blocks, since we are sure that many of the people who have copied would not know and would love to claim this knowledge but, it is true that the games worked so well that the design for the Hi-Tower has become the model now for all giant tower models.
Our range now has three Giant Tower Models:
Hi-Tower, the original classic design, and still the largest model we produce, at 285mm long. It builds up to 5 ft in play. Very impressive.
Giant Tower, the middle range product. Slightly smaller, and with a smaller footprint, does not play as long as the classic Hi-Tower, but a very popular game.
Mega Hi-Tower in a bag, the smallest tower and one of the most challenging of the three games. The Tower now build to the the same start height as the Hi-Tower and Giant Tower but, the smaller and much lighter blocks mean that you have to have a really steady hand! The benefit of the reduced size is that the Mega Hi-Tower is so much easier to move around the house and garden and the handy Zip Close bag makes this tower the perfect “take along” game.
